About Me

Hi, I'm Selena!

I’m a registered mental health therapist and former school-based clinician who specializes in supporting children and teens. Before private practice, I worked in Special Education as an ERMHS (Educationally Related Mental Health Services) Therapist and hold a PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) credential — training that lets me provide mental health services and student support directly within California public schools, Pre-K through grade 12.

That dual background as both a clinician and an educator has shaped my unique approach to therapy. I understand not just what’s happening in the therapy room, but what your child is navigating in the classroom and the complexities of everyday life.

How I work

Every child is different, so treatment is always tailored to their unique personalities. If you have struggled to find the right therapist for your kiddo, my niche services may be what you have been looking for. My approach stays client-centered, trauma-informed, and mindful of the systems — family, school, community — your child is part of.

I’m a California native and longtime San Diego resident. I offer a combination of virtual and in-person services while maintaining a small caseload to ensure I can provide flexibility and individualized attention to you and your family. I’m currently accepting new clients.
